The CORE mobile application aims to support low-income individuals and families in making affordable, healthy meal decisions. Many users face constraints such as limited time and access to resources, often resulting in poor nutrition and food waste. This project was developed in collaboration with a grant-funded client to support the needs of a local non-profit organization. Our system is built on a structured recipe and ingredient database that enables meal plan generation based on user constraints, including dietary preferences. The application generates consolidated grocery lists by aggregating ingredient-level data across recipes, reducing duplication and food waste. Built using React Native and Supabase, the system provides a scalable, user-friendly interface for personalized meal planning. This project demonstrates how software engineering solutions can address real-world food insecurity challenges through structured data modeling and efficient system design.
