IMPORTANT NOTE!!
The dates of the conference coincide with the first weekend of Grand Rapids' ArtPrize event -- which has put Grand Rapids on the map. Hundreds of thousands of people will come into town for this event. ALL hotels in the Grand Rapids area will be completely booked for this weekend, sooner or later. Thus, attendees especially are encouraged to make their reservations very early.

The room block is comprised of 29 Double Queen rooms, 9 King rooms, and 1 King Suite. Double Queen and King rooms are $135 plus taxes. King Suite room is $155 plus taxes.

Guests may pick up a room under the block by calling the front desk at either listed number above. They will need to make sure to mention the “CCSC-MW 2017 Conference” room block.

The PCC offers free shuttle service, between 6am and 11pm, to and from Gerald R. Ford airport. They do require a notice of 7 days prior to arrival at the airport in order to schedule the shuttle. If proper cancellation notice of 24 hours is not given, a $25 fee will be added to the guest bill. Under circumstances of delayed and canceled flights, they will do their best to accommodate these changes.

24 rooms are reserved, however, when guests make their reservations they can take their pick of any available room types in the hotel. The discounted rates are:

  • Standard king w/pullout sofa: $145
  • Standard 2 queens: $155
  • Studio king suite: $160
  • 1 bedroom king suite: $175
  • 1 bedroom 2 queen suite: $190
  • Whirlpool suite: $190

Information on how to get to Calvin College can be found here. Here is Google map where you can get driving directions to Calvin College and an annotated campus map with the buildings of interest boxed in red. Plenary and break out sessions will be in the Covenent Fine Arts Center (CFAC) except for the first break out session which will be in the Commons Annex and sessions requiring the use of a computer lab which will be on the third floor of the Science Building. Meals will be in the Commons. The programming contest will be on the third floor of the Science Building. No parking permits are required, but the suggested lots are Lots 9 and 10 around the CFAC. Note that the Prince Conference Center is on campus and also has parking.
